I have to spell the word w-a-l-k if we're getting ready to go so he doesn't freak out like this.

Chocolate Lab uses Excite. It’s super effective!

My friend had a brown poodle called Mickey who was like that, you had to spell out walk and bath. If you said bath he would go under the dining room table and hide, if you went to get to he’ go round the other side so he’d be out of reach. He was mental. Would do anything for a treat.

Honestly you really have to get the leash and treats and everything and say at the very last moment “Hey, you wanna go for a walk?”

You just have to condition them to baths early. My dog enjoys a free rubbing and squishing, cause that's all the bath is to her anyway.

With my dog, I have to keep the leash on top of a hutch by the front door, because otherwise he'll grab it and chew on it, so if I grab anything up there he thinks we're going.

My Lab doesn’t like baths, either. Hates water, believe it or not, unless we’re at the park on a warm day, when he’ll wade up to his belly in the river. Otherwise, even a few drips will cause him to walk away. I use some disposable pet bathing cloths to clean him, and he loves being brushed, so it isn't hard giving him a "bath" without water.

Ye’, dogs love being petted and going into rivers yet baths you’d think they’d love but often they don’t. Go figger.
